This is a fascinating battle between division rivals who wear uniforms of the same color, but are in different stages of their Super Bowl window.

The idea that Tampa Bay would win a championship again after 2003 seemed like a foolish hope, until Tom Brady went to Florida and turned the franchise around.

Atlanta saw this happen and could never overcome this obstacle. The irony is that they lost a substantial lead in a Super Bowl to Tom Brady in 2017.

And this psychological advantage exists. Even now, after knocking out Arthur Smith and being ranked in the top ten in the NFL, it feels like it’s not really working anymore.

Kirk Cousins looks semi-comfortable, but Bijan Robison still gets too few touches, Drake London chooses when to play – all this while Tampa Bay is 3-1, fresh off a big victory against Philadelphia.

Culture matters, and right now, Tampa Bay is a better team despite its lower expectations.

Of course, the best part of these matchups is the familiarity with each other. So, offensive coordinators really have to find something deep in the bag of tricks to deploy, and these special plays are usually reserved for big division games.

The best way to gauge point totals is to decide whether or not you can see a certain score if a team underperforms slightly. Would you be surprised if Tampa Bay won 24-20? I wouldn’t do it.

Cade Otton will score a touchdown

While few people are afraid of Baker Mayfield, I think the horrible thing about dealing with Tampa Bay is having to cover two different A-level receivers.

Mike Evans has been in the league long enough that no one should let him go one-on-one, so you can absolutely guarantee Atlanta won’t let him ruin the game.

But the same can be said of Chris Godwin who seems revitalized after his injuries over the last two years.

He’s become that middle target now, but he’s also threatening to force his way to a 1,000-yard season from the slot. Very impressive.

However, this is all due to a division rival – so the touchdowns will likely have to come from an alternate source.

Otton’s targets improved as the weeks went by, catching 14 of his 21 targets. And while Baker and the running game pose a threat to steal scores, the interior of this Atlanta D-line is the strength, so I suspect Baker will pass into limited space rather than hand it down.

Bucky Irving – Over 44.5 yards rushing

Rachaad’s time is over. Buck’s time has come.

For those of you who didn’t read this as a Lord of the Rings reference, I pity you. But it’s become clear that not only is Bucky Irving far more talented than Rachaad White, he’s also more effective.

Tampa Bay will look to run on the perimeter in this game as Atlanta lacks edge defenders. White running around the outside of the tackles, looks like I’m bathing after a kebab. Irving will lead them in races.
