Berks Quilt Show Features 180+ Quilts, Silent Auction | Berks Regional News

LEESPORT, Pa. – If you’re looking for a new blanket to snuggle up with before the winter months, you might want to check out the Berks Quilt Show.

The event takes place at the Leesport Farmers Market.

It will be open again Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Berks Quilters Guild says more than 180 quilts are on display and more are available at vendor booths.

Visitors can enjoy demonstrations, a silent auction, raffle baskets and much more.

The Guild says quilting has something everyone can love.

“I love touching fabric. I love that you take that fabric, cut it up into tiny little pieces, and then it becomes something brand new again when you sew it back together,” said Katelyn Bieber, president of the Quilt Show.

The Berks Quilters Guild has more than 75 members but is always looking to welcome more.

If you want to try quilting, they say you are welcome to attend one of their meetings.
