Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest tips: Sunday’s 15/1 bet

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest tips: Sunday’s 15/1 bet

We have three Premier League matches this Sunday and our tipster envisions Chelsea hosting Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have only lost twice this season and, under the tutelage of Enzo Maresca, seem to be returning to their best level. Their opponents will not hesitate to find themselves stuck at the bridge. They have only lost once so far this campaign and are actually unbeaten in their last five away league matches, including a win at Anfield against Liverpool.

Andrew Cunneen has researched the markets to find a valuable four-legged bet maker. Let’s get into his Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest betting tips.

One more thing, two of Andrew’s player picks fall under Paddy’s Super Sub promotion, meaning the pick transfers to replacing a player if he comes off – something which has piqued Paddy traders to the tune of £1.6 MILLION last weekend. Ouch.

Chelsea will win

I love this Chelsea team. And that’s a strange thing to say for several reasons.

One: Well, no one really likes Chelsea.

And secondly: because their manager, Enzo Maresca, from Leicester, has taken over a locker room full of mercenaries and is now starting to impose his ideals. He’s more than happy to be aggressive, throw caution to the wind, and most importantly, make players uncomfortable.

I would be slightly concerned about Chelsea’s fatigue levels if they had been playing away on Thursday, but they host Gent in a competition that is theoretically beneath them, so no fear. It probably went a little under the radar because of how many people predicted they would implode or fall for the Pep Guardiola versus Mikel Arteta narrative again, but this Chelsea team started as well as any what other.

If they hadn’t played City on the opening day we would have had a very different discussion about them.

Both teams score, yes

Chelsea’s last clean sheet at home dates back to May. They try to be compact on the road, which is obviously a plus, but they really struggle to put on a show at home and keep everything in front of them at the same time.

In a way, it feels like they are being removed from the task. They should be content with winning, but Chelsea still feel like they have to put on a show in front of people to justify how much they are spending.

My advice would be to just win football matches so you don’t have to put yourself down to be in the same competition as Northern Ireland’s Larne and Wales New Saints.

That element of entertainment really got to them, and Nottingham Forest had scored in every Championship game this season until last weekend. They are used to scoring goals in matches where they create almost nothing.

Cole Palmer, scorer at all times

Cole Palmer is going through a bit of a difficult time. And I think the only reason he doesn’t have it worse is because people aren’t completely convinced that he’s actually fully aware of his surroundings at any given moment.

It’s like God placed soccer ability in the wrong person, because his personality doesn’t quite match his smarts with the ball. We probably need to start talking about him as one of the best players in the world, and I’ll stick by him when he’s in this form.

Marc Cucurella will receive a card

Marc Cucurella is a good player, but adapting to a manager who wants him to drift inside to be an option in central areas while maintaining width when necessary still doesn’t come naturally to him.

It’s probably a bad process to back the most reserved player in the league, as the averages usually even out, but he’s in a tough situation with too many plates to keep rotating, and these yellow cards are one under -product.
