Twin Falls and Kimberly host joint swim meet

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — For the first time this season, let’s jump into the pool because on Saturday, Twin Falls and Kimberly High School hosted their joint meet at the Twin Falls City pool.

On the boys’ side, Twin Falls came to swim at their home meet as AJ Schnitzeler and Lucas Pulleiro each won two individual events as well as the 400-yard freestyle relay to tie for first place individually among the boys. boys with 16 points.

On the girls’ side, Wood River High School’s Rya Nichols also tied for first in the individual event as she also won two individual events and a relay.

Burley’s Zackary Neal won the boys’ 500-yard freestyle, Wood River’s Riley Rundell won the girls’ 100-yard backstroke and Kimberly’s Kyler Brown won the boys’ 100-yard breaststroke to round out the local individual winners.

On the team side, the Wood River girls took the win and Idaho Falls edged Twin Falls by six points on the boys side.

In combined scores, Twin Falls was the top local school in third place with 90 points.
