Horror Game Sale offers scary good deals on Silent Hill 2, Cult Of The Lamb and more

Ahead of Halloween, Fanatical has launched a big sale with some scary good deals on horror hits and games with genre tropes like zombies, vampires and ghosts. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered And Miles Morales are also prominently featured on the Frightfest sale landing page. Since Spider-Man is a very popular Halloween costume, we assume it fits the theme – and both games are almost 50% off, so they’re great deals either way. Most of the games on sale are Steam keys that can be redeemed immediately.

The standalone discounts are supplemented by the new ones build your own Frightmare bundle with 19 games to choose from, including Doom (2016), The Evil Within 1 and 2, and Dead Island Definitive Collection, which actually comes with three games. Best of all, you can get all the Steam games we just listed for just $11.68 total.

One of our favorite standalone deals is for the recently released one Silent Hill 2 remake, which now costs just $54.59 (was $70). The remake features radically improved gameplay and modernized graphics with support for advanced technology like ray tracing, so it’s a great match for high-end gaming rigs. It also benefits from a new over-the-shoulder perspective. However, this deal disappears after Halloween, so you won’t have much time left to redeem the offer. If you want a handful of digital goodies, check it out The Digital Deluxe Edition of Silent Hill 2which comes with a digital art book and soundtrack, for $62.39 (was $80).

If you want to kill zombies this Halloween, you have plenty of solid options, including the bloody action RPG Death Island 2 for $22.49 (was $50). Apart from brutal battles and grotesque enemies, it gives you plenty of stats and equipment to manage. It’s a great cooperative game, especially if you’re looking for a fun way to spend your Halloween evening.

Then there are the non-zombie games from PlayStation Days pass for $11.49 (was $50) and The Last of Us Part I for $32.39 (was $60). The fast-moving, flesh-eating creatures of Days Gone travel in huge groups and are technically called Freakers (they’re fast zombies). It’s one of PlayStation Studios’ weaker games of the past decade, but there’s still fun to be had a lot of of zombies to be run over with Deacon St. John’s motorcycle. The Last of Part I, meanwhile, is a fantastic remake of one of the most beloved PlayStation games of all time. It has revamped mechanics inspired by The Last of Us Part II and updated graphics. The Last of Us Part I is available for purchase. just $32.39 (was $60), so now’s a great time to add it to your Steam library.

Frightfest also features some notable deals on popular indie games published by Devolver Digital. Cult of the Lambwhat is almost certainly the funniest game about running a cult ever made is up for grabs at 50% off. If you like action RPGs, rogue-likes or basic management games, you should definitely give it a try. Rogue-like enthusiasts who have not yet played the unique and disturbing deckbuilding game Encryption You can pick it up for just 8 euros. The less you know about Inscryption the better, but it’s a mouthwatering delight. And if you fancy being the inappropriate creature from a monster movie, the ‘reverse horror’ game is a must try Ace is all about pulverizing people like a tentacled creature.
