Pittsburgh Steelers’ George Pickens goes viral for hilarious play

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens caught everyone on the Internet’s attention for a humorous move he made during a New York Giants fumble.

During the fourth quarter of the Week 8 game between the Steelers and Giants, quarterback Russell Wilson fumbled with the football, which was recovered by a New York defender. During the fumbled return, Pickens ran in to make a tackle, but quickly realized everyone was already heading to the ground. So he used his athleticism to dodge a tumbling group of players, resulting in a 10-second clip that had everyone laughing online.

Pickens finished the game with four receptions for 74 yards, but could have gotten two more receptions that would have counted as touchdowns. One was called back on a facemask penalty by offensive tackle Broderick Jones and the second was a unique play where Pickens put one foot down twice but was unable to get the other down before going out of bounds.

The Steelers offense continues to flow, and even with the fumble, they ran away with 26-18 winners over the Giants in Week 8. They now enter the bye week with a record of 6-2 and in first place in the AFC North. They return in week 10 to take on the Washington Commanders.
