Liam Payne praised by Buckinghamshire neighbor after intruder incident

A teenage neighbor of Liam Payne has praised the late star who he says once came to his aid after an attempted home invasion.

Thomas Evans, 17, who lives in St Turners Wood Drive, Chalfont St Giles, said the former One Direction singer left his home at 3am to check on Thomas and his brothers after their property was broken into by an intruder.

Payne, 31, died in Argentina after falling from the third floor of a Buenos Aires hotel on Wednesday, police said.

“Liam just heard some kids screaming and, God bless him, he came — he didn’t have to,” Thomas said.

“I want to spread some positive things about him. There was never any negativity from him, ever.”
