Clarksville road rage incident leaves 1 dead – Indianapolis News | Weather in Indiana | Traffic in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A dispute that began on I-65 in Clarksville ended with the death of a man, police said.

At about 4:45 p.m., the Clarksville Police Department said it was investigating a “road rage incident involving a weapon” at U.S. 31 South and Stansifer Avenue. This is right next to an I-65 overpass, about two miles north of the Indiana/Kentucky border.

Two vehicles were involved in a dispute in the southbound lanes of I-65, police said. Both vehicles exited the interstate and came to rest near the intersection.

“It appears that two individuals exited the vehicle and approached another. A shooting occurred and one man died,” the Clarksville Police Department said in a Facebook post Thursday night.

The Clark County coroner’s office has not released the man’s name.

Investigators have not said what led to the road rage incident or whether anyone was in custody.
