AWS India today announces completion of multiple village development projects in Rangareddy-Telangana

Hyderabad: Amazon Web Services (AWS) India Private Limited on Friday announced the completion of several village development projects in Rangareddy district, including restoration of a lake, renovation of an Anganwadi center, installation of solar street lighting and purification systems of water in Machanpally village. These projects were carried out as part of the AWS InCommunities program, with support from SEARCH, a local non-governmental organization, said a press release.

The 65-acre lake in Machanpally village lay dormant for a few years, plagued by reduced capacity, garbage dumping, soil erosion and weed infestation, and was restored to full tank level by AWS. A new Anganwadi center with brightly painted classrooms, murals and cartoons renovated by AWS was also opened.

Two RO water purification systems each with a capacity of 250-500 liters in Machanpally village as well as Machanpally Thanda have been installed in addition to 30 solar street lamps across the village and a high power solar lamp in crossing.
