It’s looking more and more like 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will make his NFL debut on Sunday. “He’s put together two really good workouts here,” 49ers general manager John Lynch said Friday morning on KNBR’s “Murph and Markus Show.” “We’ll have to see how he responds today. We’ll make a decision if he’ll be there, but the trend is good.” When asked if there was a chance Pearsall would play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs at Levi’s Stadium, Lynch responded, “Absolutely, there’s a chance. He’s had a good week of practice.” Pearsall, 24, was designated to return from the reserve/non-football injury list on Monday as the 49ers opened their practice window. He underwent a brief workout on Monday and was a full participant during practices on Wednesday and Thursday. The 49ers would have to remove Pearsall from the NFI list by 1 p.m. Saturday so he could play against Kansas City. It appears the 49ers plan to have Pearsall in action with No. 3 wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who is not expected to be available due to a hip injury.
