Wallingford man arrested after domestic violence incident

WALLINGFORD, CT (WFSB) – On Friday night, a man was arrested for a domestic incident that occurred on September 20th.

He was identified as Thad Stanley, 35, of New Haven.

Police said Stanley fled the scene and was never located.

The victim was taken to the hospital due to visible injuries. A warrant was then drawn up for Stanley.

On Friday, the Wallingford Community Impact Unit began surveilling the South Elm Street area for Stanley. After a few hours and some negotiations, Stanley came out and was taken into custody.

Stanley was charged with violation of Connecticut general statutes, disorderly conduct, 3rd degree assault, 2nd degree menacing and 1st degree strangulation/suffocation.

He is being held on $200,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on October 21.
