Dollar General employee shot during robbery in Canton Friday evening

Canton Police Sergeant Eric Lee said Saturday morning that a worker was shot at the store, 915 Tuscarawas St. W, around 8:30 p.m.

The incident is under investigation, according to the sergeant, who said he could not confirm the severity of the employee’s injuries.

Lee also could not say whether any money or merchandise had been stolen from the store.
