Police investigating suspicious incident in Mississauga

Peel police are investigating a suspicious incident in Mississauga after video surfaced of someone appearing to be restrained.

Police say they are investigating the incident that happened Friday evening around 9:45 p.m. in the area of ​​Traders Boulevard and Hurontario Street.

“Security footage appears to show a subdued subject associated with a dark-colored sedan and an orange SUV. Both vehicles left the area in an unknown direction,” police said said in a news release Saturday.

They released photos from the video in which it appears a person has his hands tied behind his back while being held by another person.

“In the event that this incident is a hoax, investigators will ask those involved to contact them,” police said.
