Trump Media Announces Launch of Truth+ Streaming on iOS and Apple TV

Truth Social TV streaming app now available for iPhones and Apple TV home devices

SARASOTA, Fla., Oct. 21, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Trump Media & Technology Group (Nasdaq: DJT) (“TMTG” or the “Company”), operator of the Truth Social social media platform, today announced that it has launched with successfully launched an app for iOS mobile devices and Apple TVs to access the Truth+ streaming platform.

Now available on the Apple App Store for iOS and the App Store on Apple TV, Truth+ offers TV programming focused on news, entertainment, religious content, weather, documentaries, kids’ content and more, featuring linear TV channels and Videos on Demand (VOD).

Previously released on the Google Play Store and the web, Truth+ enhances the limited streaming option now available on the Truth Social platform by adding additional content and several new features including VOD, live TV rewind with visual thumbnails, catch-up TV for up to seven days, network DVR and Spanish interface option.

The iOS app has native support for phone and tablet (iPad). Additionally, like its Android and Web counterparts, the iOS app supports casting to a TV screen by simply clicking the cast icon in the video player’s top menu. This useful feature allows users to watch videos from a cell phone directly on a home TV set.

Apple TV owners can now download the Truth+ app directly to their TV sets from the Apple TV App Store and then log in using their mobile phone to scan a QR code on their TV set or using a password.

iOS device users can download the Truth+ app from the Apple App Store and log in with a single tap, securely syncing their Truth Social accounts on their device.

Users without a Truth Social account can create one during the sign-in process in the iOS app and Apple TV app.

In the near future, TMTG plans to introduce native Truth+ apps for additional connected TV platforms, including Samsung, LG, Android TV, Amazon Fire and Roku devices.

TMTG anticipates that as the rollout progresses, the company will continue to emphasize and beta test the streaming technology while gathering user input and announcing when testing and launch are complete.

TMTG’s ultra-fast streaming technology is powered by its custom multi-site content delivery network (CDN) using the company’s own servers, routers and software stack, created with the goal of making the service non-cancellable by Big Tech .
