Emmerdale's Leyla will be caught taking drugs again in sad scenes

Emmerdale’s Leyla Cavanagh gives in to temptation next week as she reconnects with her drug dealer.

Leyla is dangerously close to a relapse as she struggles with a combination of work commitments and new heartbreak over her ex-husband Liam.

In upcoming scenes, Leyla faces a stressful day at work when Liam makes things worse by trying to speed up their divorce.

Leyla is even more upset when she learns that Liam shared a romantic moment with his ex-fiancée Bernice Blackstock on New Year’s Eve.

Liam tries to explain the situation, but this causes an argument with Leyla and she insists that she doesn’t want him near her from now on.

Then, Leyla hits rock bottom again as she rummages through her bags, hoping to find a dose of drugs.

When Leyla finds nothing, she contacts drug dealer Callum.

The next day, a tearful Leyla continues to struggle, and she reaches a breaking point when a major client backs out of a business deal with her.

When Leyla meets Callum, she finds him wary after their previous encounters because he fears she is setting a trap. Once Leyla’s true motives are clear, Callum sells her the drugs.

Unfortunately for Leyla, her son Jacob Gallagher arrives at her house unexpectedly and surprises her with drugs.

Horrified that his mother will give him his addiction again, Jacob hatches a risky plan to deal with the situation – but will it end in tears?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and is broadcast on ITVX.
