Comment: At some point, the Golden Eagles have to win a close game, right? Right?!?!? This week: vs. Rock Canyon, 7pm on Friday.
2. Cherry Creek 7-1 2 W (44-0 at Eaglecrest)
Comment: The Bruins have outscored Centennial League competition 130-7 in three games. Very good, right? This week: vs. Smoky Hill, Thursday at 7pm.
3. Christian Value 7-1 3 W (47-0 at ThunderRidge)
Comment: Take one terrible night in Mountain Vista and Valor’s resume is as good as anyone else’s. This week: vs. Fruita Monument, 7pm on Friday.
4. Legend 7-1 4 W (42-7 at Fountain-Fort Carson)
Comment: Take away a field goal from Columbine and Legend’s resume won’t be so bad either. This week: vs. Douglas County, 7 p.m. Friday.
5. Ralston Valley 7-1 6 W (35-34 at No. 6 Columbine, OT)
Comment: Eliminate a loss on the road in Valor and the Mustangs have a nice case too. This week: vs. Denver East, 7pm Friday.
6. Columbine 7-1 4 L (35-34 vs. No. 5 Ralston Valley, OT)
Comment: Remove a failed attempt at two points vs. RV and… you get the idea: numbers 3-6 are interchangeable. This week: at Denver South, 6pm on Friday.
7. Riacho do Pinheiro 5-3 7 W (49-8 win against Chaparral)
Comment: The Eagles get another chance to win with the visit of Regis Jesuit this weekend. This week: vs. Regis Jesuit nº 8, at 1 pm on Saturday.
8. Regis Jesuit 5-3 10 W (51-7 vs. Douglas County)
Comment: Rookie QB Luke Rubley’s stat line on the Raiders’ five-game winning streak: 1,020 yards, 9 TDs on 62.7% passing. This week: at #7 Pine Creek, 1pm Saturday.
9. Érie 6-2 NR W (48-13 at Mullen)
Comment: The Tigers have won five straight and are closing in on a league title in their first year in 5A. It looks like they belong. This week: vs. Legacy, Thursday, at 6:30 pm.
10. Fairview 8-0 8 V (35-7 at Brighton)
Comment: The Knights have a win over the 5A team with a winning record. That could grow to two on Friday. This week: vs. Fossil Ridge, 7pm on Friday.

Class 4A

1. Pueblo Oeste 8-0 1 V (41-0 at Widefield)
Comment: The Week 10 matchup at No. 2 Montrose can’t get here fast enough. This week: vs. Falcon, at 7pm on Friday.
2. Montrose 8-0 3 W (32-28 at No. 5 Mesa Ridge)
Comment: The Red Hawks’ dominance of Mesa Ridge in the trenches proves that they can destroy anyone. This week: at Widefield, 6pm on Friday.
3. Dakota Ridge 7-1 2 W (47-7 at Highlands Ranch)
Comment: The Eagles can clinch the league title with their eighth straight win on Friday. This week: x Golden, at 7:30 pm on Friday.
4. Broomfield 7-1 4 W (42-0 vs. Grand Junction Central)
Comment: The Eagles take a 13-quarter shutout streak into their matchup with Riverdale Ridge. This week: vs. No. 7 Riverdale Ridge, 7pm Friday.
5. Mesa Ridge 5-3 5 W (32-28 vs. No. 2 Montrose)
Comment: The Grizzlies’ three losses landed the top three teams in this rankings… by a combined margin of 12 points. This week: vs. Doherty, Thursday at 7pm.
6. Palmer Ridge 7-1 6 W (42-7 vs. No. 10 Vista Ridge)
Comment: The home loss to Mesa Ridge is the Bears’ only blemish. Another league title approaches. This week: at Rampart, 7pm on Thursday.
7. Riverdale Summit 8-0 7 W (47-0 vs. Adams City)
Comment: Test week arrives for Ravens, who allowed a total of 22 points against the suspect schedule. This week: at No. 4 Broomfield, 7pm on Friday.
8. Durango 5-3 8 W (58-0 at Air Academy)
Comment: Devils, winners of five of the last six, trending in the right direction as November approaches. This week: at Liberty, at 6pm on Friday.
9. Frederico 6-2 10 W (49-6 in Poudre)
Comment: Great sneaky game for Frederick this Friday against a 6-2 Monarch team. This week: vs. Monarch, at 7pm on Friday.
10. Vista Ridge 5-3 8 L (42-7 at No. 6 Palmer Ridge)
Comment: At some point, the Wolves will have to be competitive in marquee games. This week: vs. Air Academy, at 7pm on Friday.

Class 3A

1. Windsor 6-1 1 W (45-6 at Northridge)
Comment: One last hurdle remains between the Wizards and the 1-2 matchup at Mead. This week: vs. Tinmath, 7pm on Friday.
2. Mead 7-0 2 W (57-6 vs. Greeley Central)
Comment: The Mavericks’ Week 2 win over Frederick is aging quite well. This week: in Northridge, 1pm Saturday.
3. Pomona 5-2 3 W (20-7 vs. termination)
Comment: Surprisingly close game against Severance last week. Mountain View offers another challenge. This week: in Mountain View, 7pm on Friday.
4. Thompson Valley 7-0 4 W (27-7 vs. Mountain View)
Comment: Closing out the season with games against Roosevelt and Pomona will have the Eagles ready for the playoffs. This week: in Fort Morgan, 7pm on Thursday.
5. Lutheran 6-1 5 V (50-0 at Hinkley)
Comment: The Lions have had this Sagrada Familia game circled on the calendar for some time. This week: vs. Sagrada Família, Friday, 7pm.
6.Roosevelt 5-2 7 V (21-0 at Fort Morgan)
Comment: Roosevelt put two shutouts around the two-game skid. Without a doubt, Rough Riders remain dangerous. This week: vs. Separation, 7pm on Friday.
7. Povoado Leste 5-2 8 W (41-36 vs. No. 8 Pueblo Central)
Comment: Good luck trading haymakers with the Eagles, who have scored 160 points in their last three games. This week: vs. Canon City, Thursday, 7pm.
8. Central Pueblo 5-2 6 L (41-36 at No. 8 Pueblo East)
Comment: Amari Brown (970 yards, 10 TDs in five games) rounding out third 1,000-yard season. This week: In Pueblo County, 7 p.m. Friday.
9. Green Mountain 4-3 9 W (vs. Summit, withdrawal)
Comment: I hate to see any team miss the opportunity to play on Friday night. This week: at Evergreen, 7pm on Thursday.
10. Palisade 5-2 10 Goodbye
Comment: Mid-October bye isn’t a bad way to prepare for the postseason. This week: vs. Steamboat Springs, Thursday at 6pm.
