Police ask prosecutors to consider charging Russell Brand over sexual abuse allegations: report

In light of the 2023 Sunday Times report, in which four women came forward and accused Russell Brand of sexual assault, rape and emotional abuseMetropolitan Police in London have asked the Crown Prosecution Service to consider charging the actor over the claims.

Detectives investigating the allegations revealed Saturday that they had interviewed “a man in his 40s” on “three separate occasions” in connection with the case and presented the evidence to prosecutors. according to The Guardian.

A representative for Brand did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The four women who accused Brand in the exposé alleged that each incident occurred between 2006 and 2013.

One of the unnamed accusers, identified only as Nadia in the report, alleged she was raped by Brand “against a wall” at his Los Angeles home in 2012, when she was in her 30s.

‘He’s a lot bigger than me. And he has that glassy look in his eyes again. And I can’t move. And I told him, ‘Go away, go away,'” she said, adding that the “Get Him to the Greek” star, who married to Katy Perry from 2010 to 2012 he allegedly did not wear a condom before the act.

Nadia reported her injuries to a rape center the next day. Medical records were able to corroborate her claims, the outlet reported.

Another accuser claimed she was only 16 years old when she said Brand attacked her. She told the outlet that Brand referred to her as “the kid” during their relationship.

At the time of their interaction, Brand was 31 years old. She claimed the ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ star was ’emotionally abusive and controlling’ during their three-month relationship while he worked as a BBC presenter.

Brand strongly denied the allegations of abuse committed against him before the report’s publication, saying his ‘promiscuous’ activities were ‘always consensual’.

“I have received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email, one from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, listing a litany of blatant and aggressive attacks,” he said. “Amid this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks, are some very serious accusations that I absolutely refute.”

“When I was in theaters, and as I’ve described extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous,” Brand continued.

“During that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual.”
