Where is Harmony Montgomery’s body? Adam Montgomery remains silent.

On the day he was sentenced to decades in prison for beating his 5-year-old daughter Harmony to death, Adam Montgomery was given the chance to have his sentence reduced if he revealed the location of the girl’s body to prosecutors.

They met only silence from the New Hampshire man who will spend at least the next 56 years in prison.

Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati made the offer as he presented the state’s recommendation for convicting Montgomery on murder and other charges related to the girl’s death.

Agati repeatedly stressed that the state saw no scenario in which the minimum sentence of 35 years to life could apply to Montgomery, but offered to recommend that sentence if Montgomery revealed the location of her daughter’s body and that she was found within seven days.

“He has had opportunity after opportunity to tell investigators and others where she is right now and she cannot be left in peace. There is nothing small about the crimes he is (convicted) of today,” he said, according to video posted on WMUR-TV. “If he tells us now where he put that CMC bag so his family and the Manchester Police can retrieve his remains within the next seven days, the state would change its recommendation to a minimum of 35 years to life.”

But Agati was met with nothing but silence from Montgomery and his lawyers, with the man appearing to have no reaction to the offer, court footage shows.

“What I just said wasn’t a fluke. It was not a theatrical event,” said the prosecutor. “About 30 seconds. there is yet again, the accused chose to be heartless, immoral, selfish and unapologetic, which in order for you to decide on his punishment, rehabilitation and deterrence, and propose the sentence for him which suits him, means he just showed it to you again. in this courtroom and to anyone else, that he is heartless, immoral, selfish and a shameless murderer of his own child.

Adam Montgomery was accused of beating and killing Harmony on Dec. 7, 2019, while the family was living in their Chrysler Sebring. Harmony had several bathroom accidents in the car and Montgomery screamed and hit her in the head, according to prosecutors.

Montgomery admitted to two of the less serious charges in the case on Feb. 7: tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. Montgomery did not appear in court during his trial, nor was he present when the jury returned the verdict.

Attorney Caroline Smith, who represented Montgomery, said her client did not need to show remorse because he maintains his innocence despite being found guilty.
