SS Rajamouli Shares Message For Fans Ahead Of Baahubali: Liberation From Blood Crown; Check it out

The animated web series “Baahubali: Crown of Blood” will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from May 17. This series, produced by director SS Rajamouli along with Sharad Devarajan and Shobu Yarlagadda of Arka Mediaworks and Graphic India, will explore the icon journeys of characters like Baahubali, Bhallaladeva, Sivagami and Kattappa as they encounter new challenges. Ahead of its release, SS Rajamouli recorded a special video message for fans.

The visionary creator of the world of Baahubali shared a clip on Friday in which he unveiled his new animated series. He shared, “Hello, Namaskaram. For the many fans who are asking when we will continue the story of Baahubali, I am very excited to present to you Baahubali: Crown Of Blood which will be released on Disney+ Hotstar and we are associated with Graphic India who also brought you The Legend Of Hanuman. . 9 episodes are coming and we all loved it, I hope you like them. Thank you so much.”

Devarajan played a pivotal role in shaping the world of animation in India by creating one of the most loved animated series – The Legend of Hanuman on Disney+ Hotstar. And with the upcoming Baahubali: Crown Of Blood, Sharad adds another feather to his cap. Talking about the same, he expressed his opinion on the richness of SS Rajamouli’s profession.

Sharad Devarajan on animating SS Rajamouli’s iconic franchise for Disney+ Hotstar’s Baahubali: Crown of Blood said, “It has been a personal mission of mine: to change the perception of our animation for the entertainment industry in the world. I will never forget watching the first Baahubali films and experiencing them – for me, they took me to a place of wonder. They were unlike anything I had seen in my life and the vision he (SS Rajamouli) brought to the screen was very captivating, it was iconic in the archetypes and even the character is so quintessentially Indian. It still moves me every time I watch it. What I found amazing was that when we first spent time talking, when Shobu (Yarlagadda) and I started this journey, we were wondering how do we perceive the universe of Baahubali since the public saw that this was just the tip of the iceberg. When I saw the richness of the world they had created, the research and history that went into it, which far exceeded what anyone had seen on screen, I felt that it was also the reason why the films were so successful, because this love, care and attention is rarely given by any filmmaker around the world. I think the history of all Indian cinema, and probably world cinema, will be defined as before and after Baahubali. If we can capture even a little of the incredible genius that Sir Rajamouli was as a director and creator, I will consider this my life’s work a success.”

This is not the first time that Baahubali is getting an animated version. In 2017, Rajamouli released a four-season anime series titled Baahubali: The Lost Legends. The series was released on Amazon Prime Video.

Meanwhile, Baahubali has broken several records after its releases, not only in India but also in the international arena, including Japan, China and major European countries. Baahubali 2 was directed by SS Rajamouli and raked in a whopping sum of Rs. 1,000,000. 1810 crores, securing its position as the second highest-grossing hit in Indian box office history. In terms of domestic box office performance, Baahubali 2 has already taken the top spot. In 2017, Baahubali 2 revolutionized the Indian cinema landscape, setting new benchmarks.
