Toddler Who Can’t Stop Greeting People at Target Becomes Official Employee Du Jour

Toddler Who Can’t Stop Greeting People at Target Becomes Official Employee Du Jour

He’s got the job!

In early February, mom Mia Thompson went Tic Tac to share a video of her one-year-old son Azai. While already adorable, that wasn’t the point of Mia’s video. What she wanted to point out was his hilarious desire to talk to every stranger he met.

“Azai, don’t come here to say hello to everyone, okay?” Mia told him as they entered the stores.

Although he initially seemed willing to comply, once he entered the store, baby Azai just couldn’t seem to help himself.

” How are you ? “, he asked as strangers passed by.

“Hiiiii,” Azai would shout if anyone didn’t hear him the first time.

Mia has uploaded several of these videos, most of which take place in Target. In addition to his greetings, he also gave cuddles and his warmth also invited other babies to talk to him.

The videos racked up thousands of views and shares, attracting attention from major media outlets like Good Morning America. After a few months of Azai spreading Brooklyn love all over Target, the company took notice and invited the one-year-old to become an official employee for the day.

His hometown Target in Huntersville, North Carolina named him honorary employee of the day, giving Azai the title of director of store happiness. Employees took Azai everywhere as he handed out gifts to customers, ran around to check out merchandise, greeted customers over the store’s intercom and hugged every guest he could find. After a hard but happy day, Target surprised Azai by donating $10,000 to Central classroom in his honour. The local nonprofit in Charlotte, North Carolina, supports students in need by collecting and donating free school supplies to teachers in 200 district schools.

The moment was truly heartwarming and Thompson couldn’t be more proud of her little superstar.

“Congratulations to my baby (Azai) for partnering with @target. Got his first job at just 1 year old. I am so proud of my baby and very grateful (and) blessed for this opportunity,” she wrote.

We can’t wait to see more of this sweet little boy!
