Armed police attend robbery incident in Limerick village

ARMED gardai were called to assist uniformed officers following an alleged attack in County Limerick at the weekend.

The incident occurred at a residence in Adare at around 10.30pm on Saturday night.

It is understood that members of the Regional Support Unit were on patrol in west Limerick at the time and assisted their police colleagues after the report was made to emergency services.

The defendant and alleged victim are thought to work in the same business and reside on the same property.

A police spokesperson confirmed to Limerick Live that police arrested and charged a man following an assault incident at a residence in Adare, County Limerick, on October 19, 2024.

A police spokesperson said a man, aged 40, was due to appear at Limerick District Court on Monday morning at 10.30am.

Investigations are ongoing.
