Chargers track sending multiple athletes to state competition

AC/GC Chargers take Iowa State Track Meet by storm.

The boys will compete in a record 13 events, while the girls will send four themselves. Additionally, the boys won their district competition, a feat they repeated last year. Events where the Chargers placed in the top three included Ava Campbell in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter races, ranked 2nd and 1st, respectively, for the girls.

For the boys, the 4X100 meter relay team is seeded 3rd, the 4X200 meter relay team is seeded 2nd, the shuttle hurdle relay team is seeded 2nd and Lance Bunde is seeded 1st in the high jump. The Iowa State High School track and field meet takes place at Drake Stadium and lasts from May 16-18.
