Dilworth City Council to consider hiring interim Police Chief Hunter Rawson as full-time chief

(Dilworth, Minn.) – The Dilworth City Council is expected to potentially name its next police chief at its regular city council meeting tonight.

Hunter Rawson has served as interim police chief since May 2023, when Ty Sharpe resigned. Rawson has been with the department for 21 years and has served as both a patrol officer and investigator.

If the board approves Rawson’s hiring as chief, he will transition to the position full-time on May 14.

The City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Dilworth City Hall.
