NBA Draft: Who the Kings should consider picking at 13

NBA Draft: Who the Kings should consider picking at 13

On Tuesday’s edition of ‘The Drive Guys,’ Kevin ‘Whitey’ Gleason and Kyle Draper (Sacramento Kings play-by-play announcer) were joined by Nathan Grubel, NBA draft expert who writes for Draft Deeper and No Ceilings.

The trio spent the segment discussing who the Kings might consider with the 13th overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft. Some of the first names Grubel mentioned were Duke’s Jared McCain, Colorado’s Tristan da Silva and Devin Carter of Providence.

Joining the conversation shortly after seeing some NBA combines in Chicago, they dove into recent conversations about this being a “weak” draft class. What does this mean for Sacramento and how does it affect their draft position?

Does the state of available prospects present a situation where the Kings might consider trading up? In this scenario, who should they target? And, of course, the conversation eventually moved to Bronny James, who has been a hot topic of conversation due to his recent measurable results and outstanding performances during individual shooting drills.

Grubel shared his thoughts on James’ recent performance and discussions about his current draft stock. The Kings also have the 45th pick, although he could be off the board by then.
