Origins Suffering After ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Cancellation?

The imminent arrival of NCIS: Origins And NCIS: Tony and Ziva meant that CBS’s naval-crime procedural franchise had reached a new high. And then came the announcement that Paramount had chosen to remove NCIS: Hawaii and, to add even more frustration in the eyes of fans, they did it after a suspenseful season finale.

There will be no closure for those who have watched three seasons surrounding NCIS Pearl Harbor, and that has disappointed a vocal group of viewers. Unlike NBC Law and order: organized crimeAdditionally, there will be no streaming service transfer for one or more additional seasons, which left a bad taste in the mouths of some procedural-loving viewers after “finances” were the reason given for cancellation. Apparently, without even moving LL Cool J from NCIS: Los Angeles had resolved the situation.

As noted Daily Expressthere is now a blame game with viewers suggesting that Origins is the real reason for Hawaii cancellation: “This is why NCIS Hawaii was canceled…the budget for that show and NCIS Origins (I think that’s the name) about Gibbs in his younger years which led to him becoming an NCIS agent .” This gave rise to calls for a boycott which continue. Will this have an impact on Origins‘ audience?

We don’t know when NCIS: Origins will premiere, but it will likely be in 2025 until we know if the cancellation furor will take effect as promised.
