Savage act of violence: Women beat up security guard in Tamil Nadu over parking dispute | Tendencies

An incident of physical altercations and verbal abuse between a group of tourists and a security guard led to the arrest of three people. In an unfortunate incident that occurred in the town of Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu, a 49-year-old guard was beaten up by two men and two women after he refused to let them park their car in a prohibited zone.

Footage of the incident shows a security guard, Ezhumalai, stopping a family from taking their car into a no-go zone. At first, they engage in a verbal argument. However, within moments, the people inside the car, believed to be a group of tourists, get out to confront Ezhumalai.

Immediately after disembarking from the vehicle, a woman starts slapping Ezhumalai. She is soon joined by three other people – a woman and two men. They slapped and beat him mercilessly. At one point, they grab Ezhumalai’s stick and beat him. Eventually, some bystanders rescue him after hearing his screams.

According to the Hindu, Ezhumalai filed a complaint against the tourists and three were arrested.

Journalist R Sivaraman shared the video on I hope Mamallapuram police will act upon seeing this.” He further bookmarked the official X pages of Tamil Nadu Police and Chengalpattu District Police.

The video went viral with many likes and views. Additionally, it prompted people to post varying reactions.

“The whole family appears to be in serious mental health trouble and needs immediate rehabilitation and the First Lady who started beating the guy needs shock treatment, prison and shock treatment alternatively. Others should be arrested after rehabilitation. This is highly unacceptable. What absurdity are we witnessing? I hope the police act quickly”, posted an outraged user X. Another added: “They should be behind bars! Whatever the problem, they have absolutely no right to mistreat the security guard!”

A third commented: “The whole family seems to have anger issues… they need rehab.” A fourth wrote: “Although the blame lies on both sides, physical exchanges should have been avoided by passengers (seems to be polite). Furthermore, whoever recorded the video did not even try to stop the physical abuse.”

According to the outlet, two suspects are identified as S Prabhu Inbadass, aged 41, and K Keerthana, aged 29, from Mudichur. The third suspect, Shanmuga Priya, 38, is a native of Maraimalai Nagar. Her husband is running away.
