BRICS members will share experience in intellectual property protection – statement – World

KAZAN, October 23rd. /TASS/. The BRICS countries agree to exchange cutting-edge experiences in sharing intellectual property (IP) to protect rights and use it for commercial purposes.

“We welcome the cooperation of BRICS Intellectual Property (IP) Offices and the exchange of best practices and experiences in the field of IP, in particular on advanced technological issues, with the aim of supporting rights holders,” stated the member states in the Kazan Declaration of the 16th BRICS Summit.

“Recognizing the importance of data, statistics and information for effective decision-making, we express our support for enhancing statistical cooperation within the BRICS, including the annual launch of the BRICS Joint Statistical Publication and the BRICS Joint Statistical Publication Snapshot, as well such as the exchange of best practices in the areas of official statistics in BRICS member countries”, says the statement.
