Jules Breach set to take the hosting chair for FOX’s sports coverage of UEFA EURO 2024

Throughout his broadcasting career, Jules Breach has had various opportunities to cover football within various professional entities. As the lead journalist and presenter for TNT Sports in the UK, she is responsible for keeping viewers informed and entertained throughout match coverage across a range of competitive arenas such as the Premier League, Europa League and Champions League.

Breach will now have a new opportunity to demonstrate his soccer knowledge and media skills in the United States as the main host of UEFA EURO matchdaythe FOX Sports studio broadcast surrounding UEFA EURO 2024. The program will provide viewers with comprehensive pre-match and post-match coverage, from the group stage to the championship round on FOX and FS1.

FOX Sports secured media rights to the tournament through a six-year deal with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), which organizes several league matches and national team competitions. Coverage of UEFA EURO 2024 begins on Friday, June 14 at 3 p.m. ET when Germany opens the group stage against Scotland, broadcast on FOX. Overall, the division will broadcast 46 UEFA 2024 matches and 32 CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 matches live on FOX, FS1 and FS2, and all matches will also be available for live streaming on the app FOX Sports.

“It’s an absolute honor to be the main host of FOX Sports’ Euro coverage this summer,” Breach said. “I’m absolutely buzzing. I’m the biggest football fan, so hosting a tournament this big for a network as big as FOX is truly a dream come true.

Breach explained that she would bring the fans’ perspective to the airwaves while being able to effectively contextualize the action through her previous experiences. At the same time, she possesses a genuine enthusiasm for the sport and a propensity to align her colleagues with broadcast success.

While the full roster of analysts has yet to be revealed, Breach hinted that it would include a range of different nationalities that would foster a pleasant environment. One of the analysts joining Breach in studio is former Italy center back and captain Giorgio Chiellini, whose prospects she will look to extrapolate regarding his team’s championship in the 2020 iteration of the tournament .

“The analysts that we have — and we have a great group of people that I go to sit down with every day — bring their expertise,” Breach said. “They can tell us, from their experience of these big matches, what it’s like.”

Breach has been on-air for several different events locally and nationally during his career in sports media. In addition to her work at TNT Sports, she hosts Channel 4’s coverage of England national football team matches in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, she covered UEFA EURO 2020 and two FIFA World Cup tournaments for Optus Sport Australia, as well as reporting and hosting UEFA Champions League coverage for CBS Sports. Whatever the mission, Breach believes there is a catalytic element in sport that ultimately fosters camaraderie and relationships amid competition, zeal and congratulation.

“We use sports as a means of escape and as a means of entertainment and fun, so I guess I like to bring that side to it because when I watch sports; when I watch football, that’s what I want to see,” Breach said. “I want to see people smiling, having fun and enjoying, but obviously there is also a serious side to sport sometimes, so you have to find the right balance when you need it.”

During the tournament, FOX Sports will broadcast matches featuring both established veterans and rising stars of the sport. Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Luka Modrić and Warren Zaire-Emery are among the most notable performers who will take part in the tournament proceedings. Football’s popularity continues to flourish globally, as evidenced by record television audiences, merchandise sales and a mix of national and international interest.

The UEFA EURO 2020 audience, which was delayed by the global pandemic and took place in June and July 2021, attracted a cumulative live match audience of 5.23 billion viewers. Additionally, the average audience for the tournament’s live matches exceeded 100 million viewers.

“I like the fact that there is so much interest in the euro,” Breach said. “Obviously it’s the first time that FOX is also showing the Euros, so it’s a really exciting thing for the channel, and I’m delighted to be able to be a part of it, but ultimately I think the sport will continue to grow in popularity in the United States simply because it is a great sport to watch.

THE UEFA Euro Day The FOX Sports program will implement various elements to engage with younger audiences, including a journey series with joyful and engaging pieces. Although the sport is perceived as the most popular in the world, the program will aim to resonate with scholars with a strong aptitude for the game on and off the field, as well as novices eager to delve deeper into the game. The broadcast will begin one hour before televised games on FOX and FS1 throughout the month of effort.

“We’re going to bring so much media coverage,” Breach said. “There will be our preparation in almost every Euro match we broadcast, and we will make sure we break things down so people are both educated and entertained, and we will do it with the best analysts.”
