NC Courage announces TST roster

CARY, North Carolina (June 4, 2024) —The NC Courage today announced its roster for the Tournament of Soccer (TST), which will take place June 5-10 at WakeMed Soccer Park. Featuring players from around the world, the roster includes 19 players, including former NC Courage players and other former NWSL players.

Led by former United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) player and Courage star Jessica McDonald, the team features familiar faces like current NC Courage trialists Giovanna DeMarco, Victoria Haugen and Lauren Kellet, as well as as former Courage players Sarah Clark, Sinclaire Miramontez and Samantha Martinez. .

DeMarco played college football at North Carolina, representing the Wake Forest Demon Deacons for five seasons before being drafted by the San Diego Wave in 2023.

Miramontez will be joined on the list by her sister, Sydney. The two sisters played alongside each other at the University of Nebraska, eventually playing separately in the NWSL and other professional leagues. Although she no longer plays in the NWSL, Sydney Miramontez still works there and is the business director for the National Women’s Soccer Players Association (NWSLPA).

Further expanding the roster experience is former Canadian national team player Maegan Rosa, who has played for several NWSL teams.

Kellet will play in goal for the Courage and is TCU’s all-time shutout leader after her 23rd career shutout last fall. The recent graduate has been training with the Courage as a trialist since pre-season.
