Young man stabbed to death after being called from home in Munshiganj

A young man was reportedly murdered after being called out of his house and stabbed in Mirkadim, Munshiganj.

Police have arrested a suspect, identified as Faisal, in connection with the incident.

The deceased Shubho Bepari, 23, succumbed early yesterday morning (November 4) at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he had been receiving treatment since Saturday evening (November 2) after being seriously injured in the stabbing attack around midnight. .

According to police, the young man suffered serious injuries to his abdomen after being attacked by a rival group. He was initially taken to Munshiganj General Hospital but was later shifted to DMCH due to the severity of his condition.

Shubho was a native of Kalindipara in Mirkadim and the son of Mukul Bepari.

“We have arrested a young man from the area named Faisal after receiving information about the incident,” said Khalilur Rahman, station house officer of Munshiganj Sadar.

“Further legal action will be taken in this case following the autopsy.”
