When asked what he’s most excited about for GTA VI, Hinchliffe said he’s eager to see how the game has developed since he departed in 2022. However, he didn’t reveal much, which is to be expected for such a secretive project. Hinchliffe now works at Sniper Elite VR studio Just Add Water.

GTA VI is scheduled for release during the holiday season of 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game takes place in Vice City, a stand-in for Miami, Florida.
