Man charged in connection with shooting that left Grand Rapids mother dead and two sons injured

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A man has been charged in connection with a shooting that left a mother dead and her two sons injured in southeast Grand Rapids last month.

According to the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD), the shooting happened on October 24 in the 900 block of Pastiche Drive.

Chief Eric Winstrom told FOX 17 neighbors reported an altercation had occurred in the area. When police arrived, numerous shell casings were found.

The mother was later identified as 55-year-old Tracey Broyles.

GRPD issued an update Tuesday stating that 33-year-old Keonte Moore is charged with open murder, as well as two counts of assault with homicidal intent and several weapons charges. Moore is currently housed at the Kent County Correctional Facility.
