EastEnders’ Linda shocked by Keanu news in iPlayer release

EastEnders spoilers follow Monday’s (June 10) episode, which has yet to air on BBC One.

EastEnders“Linda Carter received some big news regarding Keanu Taylor in the series finale.

During her visit to Albert Square today, Linda was crestfallen as Ollie asked her about her late dad Mick, in the run-up to Father’s Day.

Linda admitted to Elaine and Johnny that she had dreamed about Mick last night and was supported by his family.

However, her day quickly took a turn for the worse when Bernie told her that Keanu’s funeral would be this week, and she asked if they could hold the wake at the Vic.

This was difficult for Linda – not only because she killed Keanu on Christmas Day, the climax of The Six’s storyline, but also because it happened in a pub.

She was shocked by this news, but Elaine overheard and intervened, saying they would be happy to host for free at the pub – under the impression that Dean had killed Keanu.

Pushed to the limit, Linda then decided to take a break, taking out a bottle of wine and drinking it in the kitchen.

Johnny, who discovered Linda’s involvement in Keanu’s death in February, tracked down his mother and supported her – promising she would pull through.

Linda told her son she had only had a glass of wine for the shock, then said she was going to break the news to Sharon. However, Johnny saw from the bottle that she had had more than one drink.

Meanwhile, Sharon found out about Keanu’s funeral from Bernie. Then, when she asked Johnny if Linda knew, he realized that his mother had never gone to tell him.

Johnny and Sharon then heard a loud noise coming from the barrel store and when they went downstairs to investigate, they found Linda on the floor, drunk.

As Johnny comforted her, Linda began to scream about her guilt over Keanu’s death, while Sharon warned her to stay silent.

“I killed him,” she wailed, “and I deserve to be punished.”

Will Linda make it through Keanu’s funeral without confessing to his murder?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One. The show is also broadcast on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes are shown early at 6am before their television broadcast.
