Speaking of Bannon, apparently people are mad that he’s going to jail for contempt of Congress, when all he had to do was show up and say no, I’m not answering your questions, and it would have been good. They’re angry because they shouldn’t have to follow any laws at all, including the one that says “don’t steal from your own dupes.” Can you imagine defending that? I can’t! (The New Republic)

Weird. The Fifth Circuit upheld this terrible ruling requiring Southwest Airlines lawyers to take “religious freedom” training from (very not) the Alliance Defending Freedom. These are all things – regulating business, making the rich pay their damn taxes, focusing our economic efforts on workers instead of bosses – that our side claims to care about.
