DeRidder police looking for suspect in collision

DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) – The DeRidder Police Department (DPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect involved in a hit-and-run.

According to DPD, a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup occurred on Oct. 14 on Ellis Road near DeRidder High School.

The driver of the truck, a white man, refused to cooperate with the other driver and drove away when he heard police had been called, DPD said. The other driver tried to find the truck’s license plate number, but was unsuccessful.

Police shared a photo of the truck believed to have been involved in the accident.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle to call Crimestoppers at 337-462-8918. Tips can be passed on anonymously.
