Fox’s Gutfeld comes up with the dumbest excuse yet for why Trump might get his ass kicked

Fox’s Greg Gutfeld offered up a big dose of pure projection, while also providing one of the dumbest statements ever about why Trump might lose the election.

There has been a lot of cheerful talk about early voting in particular on Fox, discussing the issue purely in the context of party affiliation, ignoring the huge gender gap and downplaying the potential crossover votes for Harris.

But you know they realize that trouble could arise for Trump, while they’re already making lame excuses like this for why people might have voted against him.

During a discussion about the closing remarks of the campaigns on this Monday The Fivewhile most of the panel acted as if Harris had no choice but to attack Trump, Jessica Tarlov threw some cold water on that talking point by pointing out all the policies Harris has campaigned on, which was followed by Greg Gutfeld making this ridiculous one claim about why some people vote for Harris instead of Trump.

They fear angry liberals will harass them.

GUTFELD: Well, I don’t think you can compare the campaigns because Trump’s campaign lasted much longer.

Kamala was lucky. She only had to do it for 60 days and barely showed up.

You know, I learned a lot in this segment. I didn’t know anything about that kind of thing. And I thought, I have nothing to add, although I will add this.

The real closing argument for me is one of extortion. It feels like if Trump wins, we’re going to scream and cry and burn and riot, just like we did for three years in 2016, and I think that has an effect on people.

It has an effect of, gee, I just don’t really care who wins. I just want to be left alone and I don’t want people yelling. I don’t want any protests.

So you know what? I think that’s the strongest argument for Kamala Harris, which is that there’s an ambivalent part of society that just doesn’t want to be bothered by liberals.

And so the liberals start shouting and saying: it’s up to you if she loses.

So it’s like, fine, whatever, I’ll vote for the crazy lady.
