Morning briefing: Mets select Danny Young to make room for Edwin Díaz

Hello, Mets fans!

The Mets’ hangover in London didn’t last too long as they took Game 2 of the series in a big way.

Harrison Bader opened the game with a bang, sending a ball to the left field seats and giving the Mets an early 2-0 lead over the Marlins. While the Marlins tied things up, a three-run response in the second inning gave the Mets the lead for good. The Amazin piled on from there, culminating in a 10-4 victory to get things back on track.
