BPD investigation update: victim identified in homicide at 36 Edson Street

At approximately 11:17 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of ​​36 Edson Street after a person had been shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim has since been identified as Pereshah Shear-Yashub, 27, of Taunton.
