SEQUIM — A Clallam County man was arrested June 11 after authorities received a tip that he was operating a motorcycle with a suspended license. But this trick led to a drug bust

Police identified Richard D. Miller, 39, traveling westbound on Highway 101 at mile marker 261. He was stopped at a gas station in Carlsborg and arrested for driving with a suspended license in the second degree, a misdemeanor severe.

During the arrest, officers found several bags of illegal drugs on Miller. The Olympic Peninsula Drug Enforcement Team (OPNET) assisted in the investigation, determining that Miller possessed approximately 30 grams of cocaine, 48 grams of methamphetamine, and 51 grams of suspected fentanyl. Authorities also found about $690 in cash on him.

Miller was transported to the Clallam County Jail and booked on three counts of possession with intent to deliver and driving with a suspended license in the second degree.
