Escambia County Announces Office Closures, Exceptions for June 19

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County officials announced Thursday which offices will be open or closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

The following Escambia County offices will be closed on June 16:

• Escambia County Board of Commissioners
• West Florida Public Libraries
• Escambia County Real Estate Appraiser
• Escambia County Tax Collector
• Escambia County Supervisor of Elections
• Escambia County Animal Welfare Department
• Escambia County Extension Office
• Waste Services Administration
• Escambia County Area Transit Authority and Customer Service

However, there are some exceptions and some county-run establishments will be open on June 19:

• Perdido discharge
• The Clerk’s Offices at the MC Blanchard Judicial Building, Theodore Bruno Juvenile Building, Century Courthouse and Public Records Center will be open.
  • The offices of the Clerk of Official Records, Finance, Treasury and Clerk of Council at 221 Palafox Place will be closed on June 16.
• Pensacola Beach Trolleys will provide regular service.
  • ECAT buses and UWF trolleys will not be in service.
