During a US presidential speech that turned into an early celebration of victory, the 78-year-old Trump was surrounded on stage by UFC CEO Dana White and family members.

But it was a quick (and awkward) glimpse of DeChambeau that stole the show on the Internet.

“We have the US Open champion here today – he is a fantastic golfer,” Trump said.

“Obviously he hits the ball a little longer than me, just a little bit.

Bryson DeChambeau is here somewhere.”

The 45th and soon to be 47th U.S. president looked eagerly to his right and left, searching for DeChambeau during a live speech broadcast around the world.

“What happened to Bryson?” Trump said.

‘Where is he? Bryson!

“Oh, he was shy.

“He’s hitting balls! He’s on his way – he’s hitting balls.”

One of the best golfers in the world finally appeared on stage and slowly walked up a flight of stairs before acknowledging Trump.

“He’s had a great career,” Trump said. “Great US Open, Bryson!”

DeChambeau wore a black “Make America Great Again” hat and was cheered by the crowd.

White was then mentioned by Trump and the party speech continued in Florida.

DeChambeau shares a strong golf bond with Trump.

In July the big-swinging LIV golfer one episode teased of his Break 50 series with Trump by posting: “It’s time for @therealdonaldtrump to show YouTube what he’s got.”

Then the current American president Joe Biden ran against Trump earlier this year, DeChambeau offered to arrange their back-and-forth on the court.

“Let’s settle this whole handicapping debate, I’ll be hosting the golf match on my YouTube @realDonaldTrump @JoeBiden,” DeChambeau said.

DeChambeau has used the power of YouTube to reinvent himself, also performing with John Daly and Phil Mickelson.

On Wednesday, DeChambeau suddenly found himself on stage with Trump and White, just before Trump won the 2024 US election.

The election could have a very real impact on the professional golf world, given Trump’s connection to Saudi-backed golf LIV Golf tour.

Rory McIlroy claimed Trump’s victory could “pave the way” for a US deal PGA Tour and the Saudi Public Investment Fund, that is thought he was close.

“Given today’s news about what happened in America, I think this paves the way a little bit. So we’ll see,” McIlroy said Wednesday.
