It comes as Princess Kate beamed this morning as she made her first public appearance in months with Prince William and their children.

The princess had an ear-to-ear smile as she waved to the crowds gathered at the mall to catch a glimpse of her.

Kate, 42, looked stunning dressed in white as she arrived at Trooping the Color.

The family toured the mall on the Glass Coach, closely following the King and Queen Camilla.

Prince William, who looked dapper in his red Irish Guards uniform, proudly displaying medals on his chest, also beamed at the crowd.

This is the first time the princess has been seen at a royal event since Christmas Day.

She and Wills sat on either side of Prince George as their car headed to Buckingham Palace.

Thousands of fans had already started to parade through the streets this morning to catch a glimpse of him.

Well-wishers held their Union Jacks high as they crowded together along the mall – donning wreaths and fascinators atop their heads.

What is Trooping the Color?

TROOPING the Color or “The King’s Birthday Parade” is a military ceremony that dates back to the early 18th century.

The colors (flags) of the battalion were carried (or “unfurled”) in the ranks so that they could be seen and recognized by the soldiers.

Since 1748, this parade has also marked the official birthday of the Sovereign.

The honor of carrying their flag goes to the five regiments of Foot Guards.

This year he belongs to the 9th Irish Guards company, created by Queen Victoria in 1900.

This year marks the second parade in the colors of the reign of His Majesty King Charles.

The King attended his first Trooping the Color in 1951, at the age of three, in a carriage with the Queen Mother and his aunt Princess Margaret.

Charles, then Prince of Wales, first took part in the parade as a Colonel of the Welsh Guards in 1975.
