Announcing the second batch of green room invitations

The National Basketball Association has reportedly issued 21 Green Room invitations for the 2024 NBA Draft. These invitations allow prospects and their families to enjoy the draft live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, by walking across the stage to meet the commissioner and jumping into their first media car wash going from station to station to answer questions. pop quiz about their new NBA homes. .

An exciting part of the invitation is not just the red carpet treatment, but rather the indication that an invitation to a draft room means the league considers the invitee a near-lock for a first-round selection plan. The league, their media partner nor the prospect want to have egg on their face with a draft night slide.

While there are cases, it’s more important than ever to respond to invitations as the league splits the first and second rounds between two days and two sites, with the second round taking place at ESPN’s Seaport District studios.

The NBA reportedly issued 12 invitations to the Green Room earlier this week on Friday. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony released nine more with hopes the NBA adds four more next week before the draft.

Purdue’s Zach Edey was a shocking prospect in declining his invitation to the green room to watch the festivities with his friends and family at Purdue. Edey is considered a first-round lock, and this decision to decline the invitation should not be interpreted as a big thing.
