Colony Bank Announces Savannah Leadership Transition with Addition of Industry Veteran

Colony Bank is pleased to announce the addition of an industry veteran Rob Sparks who will take on the role of Coastal Regional President in August. Sparks will begin transitioning into her new role over the next two months, ensuring a smooth transition from Drew Hulseycurrent Coast Regional President, who plans to retire in August after a successful banking career.

Sparks brings over 20 years of banking experience, specializing in all aspects of commercial and industrial lending, real estate, deposits and treasury services. Its expertise also spans various sectors, including healthcare, manufacturing and logistics. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Savannah Market Executive for First Citizens Bank. Prior to that, Sparks served as vice president of business banking for Wells Fargo Bank and Coastal Bank.

Sparks holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and is a graduate of the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending. Sparks is currently a board member of Junior Achievement, secretary of the Savannah Center for Blind and Low Vision, and a member of the vestry at St. John’s Church.
