Sallah: Oyo Pension Board Chairman Greets Muslim Faithful, Urges Workers to Consider Sustainable Wage

As Muslim faithful across the world celebrate Sallah, the Chairman of the Oyo State Pension Board, Hon Rafiu Adekunle, has congratulated them on this year’s celebration.

In a message from Sallah on behalf of the board, Hon Adekunle also urged workers to consider a sustainable salary for government to move forward.

This is what emerges from a press release made available to journalists on Saturday.

Hon Adekunle urged Muslim worshipers to imbibe the spirit of Sallah, adding that the lessons of the festival must resonate with them.

The former minority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly also commended the traditional rulers of Oke Ogun and the state in general.

While calling on everyone to prayerfully support the Oyo State government led by Governor Seyi Makinde, he advised the newly elected local government chairmen to think outside the box to find initiatives that could increase internal revenues. Furthermore, in order to stimulate economic and social development, economic value and connectivity must be considered in the choice of the 30-kilometer internal township road approved by the governor.

Adekunle, owner and founder of Primrose Model Schools and Colleges, Saki, also took the opportunity to greet parents and staff of the schools on the occasion of Sallah.

The message read in part: “As we celebrate Sallah, let us remember the importance of a sustainable salary for the government to move forward. Sallah’s lessons should resonate within us and guide us in our daily lives.

“I urge everyone to prayerfully support the Oyo State government led by Governor Seyi Makinde, as we work towards a better future for all. Let us take this opportunity to reflect on the importance of unity, peace and prosperity in our state and nation.
