US ready to reopen oil stocks if oil prices rise again: report

The Biden administration is ready to release more oil from US strategic stocks to stop any rise in gasoline prices this summer, the official said. Financial Times reported Monday.

Amos Hochstein, Biden’s senior adviser, told the newspaper that oil prices are “still too high for many Americans” and that he would like to see them “go down a little bit more.”
