East Peoria home caught fire Sunday

EAST PEORIA, Ill. – An East Peoria home was damaged by a fire Sunday morning.

Deputy Fire Chief Ronnie Marmitt said a fire broke out at the Meadow Avenue home around 8:30 a.m.

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire. The fire was extinguished in about five minutes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Damage is estimated at $35,000.

No injuries to firefighters were reported.
