Avika Gor Reveals Shocked Harassment Incident By Bodyguard: “The Very Person Supposed To Protect Me…”

Avika Gor, who became an actress at a young age, has had a lot of good and bad experiences in the industry. However, Avika Gor, famous for her role in Balika Vadhu, recently revealed a rather shocking incident that happened to her in Kazakhstan, where she was touched inappropriately by a bodyguard who was supposed to protect her. In a candid interview with The Male Feminist segment in Hautterfly, Avika revealed the disturbing incident.

“In India it happens, but it happened to me a lot in Kazakhstan. There are always bodyguards with you, but there is always someone who wants to act smart. She recounted an incident in which she was touched inappropriately while walking toward the stage at an event. “When I turned around, there was no one there other than my bodyguard.” The actress said the realization was shocking because it revealed that the very person who was supposed to protect her could be the perpetrator of the crime.

Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. Avika recalls a second encounter: “I remember the moment when this was about to happen for the second time. And this time, I held the hand. His response was a shrug asking, “What was going on?” He responded with an apologetic gesture. “What can be done? They don’t know how to speak English or Hindi, so I gave up. What more can I do? she said.

She also mentioned her mother’s foresight in informing her of these dangers. “My mother told me to do most things on my own that involved being touched, like putting on the microphone. She told me to let others touch me only for things that cannot be done by myself, like makeup,” Avika explained, emphasizing how she was imbued with such awareness right from her younger age as a child artist.

Avika Gor rose to fame with the 2008 Hindi television show Balika Vadhu. She has acted in shows like Sasural Simar Ka and Laado, and films like Uyyala Jampala, Net and Thank You. Having made her debut as a protagonist in Tollywood in 2013, Avika has worked in Telugu, Hindi and Kannada films. She will next appear in the Hindi film Bloody Ishq.
