Washington DC – Authorities are asking for the community’s help in locating a suspect involved in a robbery at a business located in the 2500 block of Marion Barry Avenue in Southeast DC.

Saturday, around 7:23 a.m., a suspect entered the establishment and approached an employee at the cash register. The suspect grabbed the money from the cash register and fled.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect.

Anyone who identifies the suspect or has information about the incident should take no action but contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE to 50411.

  • Delaware State Police seeking witnesses in Dover shooting

    Dover, DE – Delaware State Police are asking for witnesses to a shooting that happened Sunday evening in Dover.

    On June 16, around 11:20 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on Palmer Road. They found a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the thigh and provided him with medical treatment. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Initial investigation revealed the victim was walking on Palmer Road when an unknown suspect shot him from an unknown location. The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigation Unit is continuing the investigation and urges anyone with information to contact Detective M. Keane at (302) 698-8442.   • Police search for suspects who shot woman in Northeast DC

    Washington, D.C. – Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating suspects involved in an assault with a dangerous weapon.

    On Monday, May 27, at 4:40 p.m., a woman was sitting in her vehicle in the 4300 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast, when suspects approached and brandished a firearm. The victim fled when one of the suspects shot at his vehicle. She was not injured. The suspects then fled.

  • Columbus man arrested for killing 19-year-old pregnant girlfriend

    Columbus, Ohio – On Sunday, the Columbus Division of Police responded to a domestic violence call in the 4600 block of Parkwick Drive.

    When officers arrived, they found Brooke Devinney, 19, injured and unresponsive. Medics transported her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:45 a.m. from blunt force trauma. Ms. Devinney was pregnant at the time of her death.

    Officers saw a suspect fleeing the scene, but were initially unable to apprehend him. After an extensive search, 23-year-old Devon Blair, who had active arrest warrants for domestic violence, was taken into custody and charged with murder.

  • Washington gunfight leads to arrest

    Washington, D.C. – An arrest was made in connection with an assault involving a dangerous weapon.

    At 2:26 a.m. Saturday, a group of suspects got out of a vehicle and began exchanging gunfire with another suspect in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast. During the exchange, one of the suspects was shot and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other suspects fled on foot.

    Authorities recovered the suspect’s vehicle and found three firearms inside. Dervell Nettles, 31, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.

  • Nightlife Task Force Shuts Down Illegal Operations in Paterson, Arrests 10 People

    Paterson, New Jersey – Over the weekend, the Nightlife Task Force made 10 arrests and closed two after-hours establishments in Paterson.

    The task force reported that more than 20 known after-hours locations remained closed, reducing the risk of violence and other quality of life issues in the city. These actions were part of ongoing efforts to maintain order and safety within Paterson.
