Houston western clothing store Pinto Ranch announces closure of all stores ‘until further notice’

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — After two decades of catering to the Western clothing needs of Houstonians, Pinto Ranch has a closed sign on its door.

The sign reads, “This store is closed until further notice” and was placed at the Post Oak Plaza store last week, ABC13 was told.

Pinto Ranch also has locations in Dallas and Bush Airport Terminal C, both of which are closed.

ABC13 spoke with owner Guido Caranti and asked if the closure was permanent.

Caranti said, “We are looking into that” and declined to comment further. “Now is not the time to talk about it with journalists,” he said.

On June 7, Pinto Ranch announced a sale on its social media accounts.

A few people posted comments last week saying their online orders had been canceled without explanation. The account did not respond to these comments.

Calls and emails to Pinto Ranch also went unanswered.

A number of people showed up at the store on Monday and found themselves in front of a locked door. Many said there is no other store like it in the city and they hope it doesn’t disappear for good.

Over the past six months, the store has attracted high-profile clients, including rapper Drake and actress and singer LeToya Luckett.
